We all need to escape every now and then, away from the humdrum routine of daily life. So why not do something different from usual this week and take time out – indulge in a leisurely lunch till 4pm, visit an art gallery, go to the seaside, have a spa treatment, share a bottle of fizz, read a poem or classic novel, write a postcard to a friend, or (as the saying goes), turn off the TV and do something less boring instead.
My aim for this guide is to set off on the road less travelled to find distinctly different, new and exciting places to visit, stay, eat, drink, dream, walk, wander and, through my stories, inspire you to experience a taste of personally enriching, leisurely pleasure.
