So, why do I call this blog the SMART leisure guide?.

I plan to offer fabulous, fun and unusual ideas to liven up weekends and time off from work: smart as in a wise move such as good value;  smart as in sassy and stylish;  smart as in being good to yourself, keeping fit and healthy; smArt as in art and culture.

Through my regular blogs, I shall recommend hotels, restaurants, bars and pubs,  art galleries, beauty salons and spas,  city walks, countryside rambles,  share my love of books,  theatre, music,  along with little tidbits on what to do and where to go in your leisure time.
